With my self-portraits I reflect on the relationship between past and present, the continuous repetition of history and mistakes of different generations.

How much does the socialist past, the traumas that happened to our parents and grandparents play a role in our present? How does this show up in our generation? What separates us from Western European countries still today?

Reflecting on these questions, I would like to highlight the problems stemming from the past, but also affecting our generation, to the lack of identity that characterizes our society to this day. In my parents' and grandparents' generation, many people still haven't processed the past, there are a lot of taboos in families, which is also carried by those who were born after the regime change.

With my photos, I want to express such feelings as mistrust, hopelessness, and loneliness.

Önarcképeimmel a múlt és a jelen kapcsolatára, a történelem és az egymást követő generációk hibáinak folyamatos ismétlődésére reflektálok.

Mennyire játszik szerepet a szocialista múlt, a szüleinkkel, nagyszüleinkkel történt traumák a mi jelenünkben? Hogyan mutatkozik ez meg a mi generációnkban? Mi választ el minket mai napig a nyugat-európai társadalmaktól? 

A fent említett kérdésekre reflektálva szeretnék rávilágítani a múltból fakadó, de a mi generációnkat is érintő problémákra, arra az identitáshiányra, mely társadalmunkat a mai napig jellemzi. Szüleim és nagyszüleim generációjában sokan még mindig nem dolgozták fel a múltat, a családokban rengeteg a tabu és az elfojtás, melyet azok is magukban hordoznak, akik már a rendszerváltás után születtek.

Képeimmel olyan érzéseket szeretnék kifejezni, mint a bizalmatlanság, a kilátástalanság, és a magányosság.
